I signed up and joined Secret Pals 3, the latest incarnation of a knitting-themed secret pal swap. Although not officially affliated with Knitter’s Review forum, the majority (if not all) of the participants are current members of KR.
Today, we received our SP3 assignments and already I’ve heard from my secret pal. How cool is that? So, I need to get cracking on my Q&A to help out my SP. Without further adieu, my answers are below.
* Are you a yarn snob (do you prefer high-end/natural fibers)? Do you avoid Red Heart and Lion Brand? Or is it all the same to you?
yes, admittedly I am a yarn snob (Lion Brand is an exception), preferring high-end/natural fibers and yarn that just feels good to knit
* Do you spin? Crochet?
crochet, but these days, the crochet hook is used to pick up dropped stitches
* Do you have any allergies? (smoke, pets, fibers, perfume, etc.)

* How long have you been knitting?
over two and a half years
* Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list?

* What’s your favorite scent? (for candles, bath products etc.)
vanilla, ginger, almond, nothing too fruity or flowery
* Do you have a sweet tooth?
once in a while I crave milk chocolate & caramel
* What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do?
I like most paper crafts in general, but I’m not addicted to any like knitting & photography
* What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if you want to make her a CD)

dark or earthtone colors like black, grey, browns, burgundy, forest green. I also like the lack of color like white or cream

no pets
* What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with?
Non-scratchy wool is good to work with. I’ve knitted a few things with microfiber and really like those
* What fibers do you absolutely *not* like?
wool and acrylic/acrylic blends that have a scratchy feel

baby clothes, hats, bags

no one in my family knits (mom crochets), so after years of thinking it was hard to do, I picked up a learn-to-knit booklet at Michaels, then started searching for resources online and it went crazy from there…
